Every 1st of the month, I like to give my home—and myself—a fresh start. For me, it’s more than deep cleaning. It’s an intentional reset. Some of the things I already do also connect beautifully with Feng Shui principles of clearing clutter, creating flow, and making your space feel supportive. 🌿🏡 Here are a few things I do: 🚪 1. Start at the front door. I clean my door, open it, and open the windows throughout my home. I intentionally clear out what no longer belongs and invite fresh energy in. Feng Shui idea: The front entrance is often called the “mouth of qi”—the place where energy enters your home. Keeping this area clean, welcoming, and free of clutter can help create a sense of openness and flow. 🧹 2. Deep clean & organize. I clean, declutter, organize my shelves, and reset my crystals and grids. I ask myself: Do I need this? Does it have a home? Does this space feel peaceful or crowded? Clearing clutter can make a room feel lighter—and sometimes my mind feels lighter right along with it. ✨ 🧘🏽♀️ 3. Sit in the space I just created. Once everything is refreshed, I meditate. I breathe, get quiet, and notice how the space feels. One simple Feng Shui-inspired practice is to walk slowly through your home and notice where you feel peaceful—and where things feel crowded, dark, blocked, or forgotten. 🌿 4. Reset my altar & intentions. I refresh my salt with obsidian and tourmaline and prepare my altar offering. Instead of blowing cinnamon powder through my doorway, I burn cinnamon as part of my personal ritual because I don't want loose powder around my furbabies. 🐾 I also incorporate bay leaf, rosemary, and rosebuds. As I do it, I speak my intentions: ✨ Prosperity flows. ✨ Wealth flows. ✨ Peace flows. ✨ Love flows. ✨ What is meant for this home comes to us with ease. 🤎 5. End with gratitude. Before I start asking the new month for anything, I acknowledge the month I just lived. I give thanks for what came, what stayed, what taught me something, and even what I had to release. Then I send love and light toward the month ahead.
