Germany just finished a 4-day workweek trial (same pay, fewer hours)… and 73% of participating companies are planning to keep it.
Read that again: same pay + more life.
Meanwhile, Spain’s attempt to reduce the standard workweek to 37.5 hours got stalled politically- but this kind of data from Germany keeps the pressure building across Europe.
I pulled this from today’s “Spain Remote Work Digest” (Remote Work Europe- Maya + Diana). If you’re tracking Spain/Europe remote life, it’s worth subscribing.
Discussion prompt for the group 👇If you had a legit 4-day week option:
- Would you take it immediately?
- What would you do with the extra day (family, side hustle, travel, rest)?
- Would you trade some salary for it, or only if pay stays the same?
