Happy Sunday Funday yall!!! Today let’s talk about power reserve! As Summer approaches the temp she is a risin! And of course with that being said we must be a lil more diligent with our reserve when filling out our weight and balance for the day. Especially if you’re flyin in the mountains. Not all machines are stellar performers at altitude! Mainly when it’s hot outside! Don’t forget to give a quick reference to your WAT charts if flyin the 212 or your out of ground hover charts. The B3 is nice for doin calculations on the fly. Anyways just a friendly reminder to check your charts and know the limits of whatever sky chariot you may be flyin. Hey everyone, I’ve built a simple iPhone flight log app and I’m looking for a few people to help test it. The idea is to replace paper flight books for day-to-day tracking and make the paperwork process at the end of the day much easier. It lets pilots quickly record flight entries, aircraft registration, flight time, landings, cycles, hook hours, notes, fuel values, and daily totals. It also has configurable aircraft types, backup/restore, photo attachments, and a disclaimer that it’s for personal logging/operational notes — not a replacement for official company, aircraft, or regulatory records. Testing would just mean using it through Apple TestFlight and letting me know what works, what breaks, or what would make it more useful in the field. Wrapped up training week good to go for another season. Here’s a vid of some class D recurrent with the BC forestry boys! Thanks to everyone who helped out to keep everything safe and efficient out there! The boost system was new to me but got er dialed now along with the belly band system.
