Get Out and Get Well
As a stay-at-home, homeschool mom, I spend a lot of time at home. During winter months in the Pacific Northwest it can really start to feel like the walls are closing in. It’s funny because it really sneaks up on me and before Christmas arrives, I find myself in my own pit of doom. There’s no sun and it’s no fun!!
The reality of it is that we have a lot of sun here and when it goes away for a couple months it feels very drastic. So it’s a good idea to remember that winter is not so bad if you embrace it. Get extra rest while you can but also get outside. Bundle up, buttercup and hit the trails or take it to the streets!

Seriously, it’s the best feeling and such a mood boost. I’ve even recruited my husband and we’ve made it a goal of ours for 2026, to hike with honey 🥰 once a week! Some people consider it an activity for hobbyists or the young but getting out in nature and breathing fresh air is true healthcare.
