Happy Monday all! Let's talk investing...
This year I discovered the magic of high yield savings accounts and compound interest. Instead of letting my savings sit in the bank basically doing nothing (earning 0.01% APY), I opened a HYSA account with American Express. The APY just increased to 3%!! No, I'm not missing a decimal point and no, it's not too good to be true!
Now, I pool all the money that I save during the year: emergency fund, vacation fund, and dollars I set aside for federal taxes. I let this money work FOR me and earn that sweet, sweet compound interest.
