What brings you to foot zoning?? I'll go first. Foot Zoning/ Reflexology was first introduced to me in 2011. I was having my first bout of postpartum depression and a woman in my community asked me to come over. She taught me about spiritual energy, pressed my feet a little, talked about my grief after my dad passed, and sent me home with some orange essential oil. I was a little confused, a little interested, and honestly a little scared. Fast forward 3 years and I was heart deep in all thing's energy medicine. I was learning about emotional frequency, aura and chakra healing, natural laws, and muscle strength testing. I am a trained teacher and have the instinct to turn around and teach everything I learn. So, it started. I was growing a group a friends who were learning energy medicine right beside me. In 2014, I started into mapping. I devoured foot maps, face maps, iridology maps, I loved the body and I wanted to know it all. I noticed two things when I started working at the feet. (1) People were more comfortable supporting the body when they didn't have to hear about their "past emotional experiences" and (2) I could see everything in the body right there in the feet; physical kidney stone cues, new pregnancies, held on anger, past chemical residue, parasitic infections, fear, toothaches, etc, etc. So, my foot journey began and it was exactly where I wanted to be. I learned the Foot Zone, a specialized reflexology method, in 2017. Everything I had learned so far- emotional release, tapping, chakra alignments, and even reiki could all be done while I was at the feet. It was like I had the honest and open opportunity to sit at someone's feet, allow them to share their entire life's journey and watched their countenance and vitality strengthen as I "washed" their feet during a foot zone session. I was looking for meaningful work, and I found it. There was no greater work, besides raising a family, where I could serve in this kind of capacity. A healing work. A strengthening work. A receiving work. A work that supported change, joy, peace, and rest.
