Facts about forgiveness
A lot of people struggle with forgiveness because they think it means sitting face to face with the person who hurt them… or making a phone call to “make peace.” But forgiveness doesn’t always require access, reconnection, or even another conversation. Sometimes forgiveness happens: ✨ Through prayer ✨ Through journaling your feelings out ✨ Through therapy or self-reflection ✨ Through crying, releasing, and allowing yourself to process ✨ Through setting boundaries and choosing peace ✨ Through accepting what happened without allowing it to define you ✨ Through deciding you no longer want to carry the weight of the pain Forgiveness is not always for reconciliation. Sometimes it’s simply for YOUR freedom. It’s choosing to no longer let anger, hurt, or resentment control your healing journey. And no… it’s not easy. But carrying the pain forever is heavy too.
