Blue Water Education Services provides online support for English language assessments, primarily serving secondary schools and higher education institutions in Hong Kong. Our programmes are designed to engage, challenge, and support students in developing their English skills through innovative online teaching methods.
The Role: We are seeking a highly qualified and motivated Online English Language Teacher to join our team. In this role, you will:
- Plan, prepare, and deliver dynamic online English lessons to small groups of secondary school students.
- Engage and motivate teenage learners through interactive and student-centred teaching strategies.
- Collaborate with management to refine and evolve the course structure over time, ensuring continuous improvement.
- Play an active role in shaping the programme from its early stages, contributing ideas and innovations as part of a growing start-up initiative.
This role is ideal for teachers who enjoy developing new programmes and actively contributing to their evolution. It is not suitable for those seeking to follow an established curriculum with fixed guidelines and procedures.
Requirements:
Essential:
(Applicants who do not meet the essential requirements will not be considered under any circumstances. DO NOT apply if you do not meet them)
- A Cambridge Delta (or equivalent) and/or a Master’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Applied Linguistics, TESOL).
- Proven ability to engage and inspire teenage learners.
- A commitment to innovation and adaptability in course development.
- Extensive knowledge and experience with the IELTS assessment.
Preferred:
- Experience as an IELTS examiner (strongly preferred).
- Experience teaching students from Hong Kong or East Asia.
- Experience in designing and developing online teaching materials
- Knowledge of the Hong Kong Secondary School system and the HKDSE assessment.
- An interest in online teaching methodology and leveraging the opportunities for innovation that online teaching provides.
