Handball matches generate a huge amount of information in a short time: shot locations, shot types, attack phases, goalkeeper saves, turnovers, suspensions, and key contexts like equal strength, power play, or short-handed situations. When this data is captured inconsistently, analysis becomes slow, subjective, and difficult to reuse. That’s exactly why I created Handball Tagger. What is Handball Tagger? Handball Tagger is my personal application that helps me capture match events in a structured way and instantly turn them into a professional report. I created a personal application that allows me to tag match events either live or after the game, and then automatically generate a detailed PDF match report. How it works The workflow is simple and built for real coaching needs: - Tag events during the match (live) or after the match (deferred analysis) - Standardize actions so the data stays clean and consistent - Automatically compute KPIs for teams, players, and goalkeepers - Export a complete multi-page PDF report ready to share What the PDF report includes: The report is designed to support both quick decisions and deeper analysis: Match Overview - Match identity and score context - High-level summary for archiving and sharing Team Performance Dashboard - Side-by-side team comparison across key indicators - Efficiency, goals, turnovers, recovered balls, goalkeeper impact, and more Player Statistics - Full player table with output, efficiency, turnovers, and discipline - Clear overview for staff discussions and player feedback Goalkeeper Analysis: - Save rate and performance breakdowns - Insights by shot origin / position to identify patterns Shot Distribution by Player: - Individual shot-zone grids - Player preferences and finishing outcomes for scouting and development Tactical Breakdown: - Phase efficiency (positional attack, fast break, 7m, etc.) - Shooting breakdown by attack type (wing, breakthrough, pivot, long shot, fast break, 7m)
