Hairstyling can open so many exciting doors and opportunities!
I’ve always loved to travel, but working within the structure of a salon environment meant I felt limited by the four Saturdays off a year rule, and by trying to make sure holiday dates didn’t clash with the rest of the team.
As much as I craved seeing more of the world, I knew one thing for certain, leaving hairdressing was never an option for me, I loved my craft too much.
But I also knew there had to be more out there for me within this industry.
Once I truly honed in on hairstyling and mastered my techniques, I realised I didn’t have to choose between building a successful career and creating a life that gave me freedom. I could do both.
Since then, hairstyling has taken me to Paris for an engagement shoot, Venice for a brand shoot, onto sets in London multiple times a week, and across the world for destination weddings - with even more exciting bookings lined up for the rest of this year and 2027.
I’ve spent years refining my craft to position myself for the jobs I used to dream about working on. And one thing I now know for certain is this: hairstyling can open doors to an incredible world of opportunities. We are not limited to one chair, one salon, or one environment.
