This is a conversation for newcoming artists learning how to navigate the art world - by my real-time learning. I have been in the art and design space all my life. In 2019, I created a design business where I still spend most of my time to this day. However, in 2024, was when I decided to enter a serious gallery show (got in AND sold my pieces). From this, I decided to see where this "artist" path goes which has led to various art shows and in-person presentations. Each time I enter something, there is more to learn.
Sure, there are coaches, but I thought a community could help us all discuss best practices and help out each other. Items such as artist bios, resume vs CV, framing, grant writing and more.
I will have the occasional class to go over things I've learned. And well, because teaching is usually the best way to learn.
Thank you for joining my channel. I am too old to be calling myself a "newbie" but young enough to be going through this with a humble, educational spirit.
