Do you have one? I will be speaking at an event on Saturday. Well, I will be present for questions and answers. It is a tea of sorts and I am wonderfully excited. I love throwing myself into new things. It is an uncomfortableness that I welcome. In preparation, I want to have an artist bio ready. And this should be printed for something else I have going on. The interesting thing about this journey is that when I do one thing, another thing follows. Stay tuned. I will report back on how Saturday went.

I've applied for 2 things lately. One being Studio Space. I found out that one of the options is no longer available. The other is about being NEXT on the waiting list. The NEXT means whether or not they are going to choose the chosen artist and then - if they do, I DON'T get it. If the artists do not get along, then I POSSIBLY get it. I am not a great fan of waiting but this is how it goes. Waiting. I kind of want to find another space at this point. If you don't want me first up, I am not going to wait. That's how I feel. But I will wait. Art certainly isn't living in the fast lane. NOT this part anyway. Are you waiting to find out something for your next art project? Tell me more! We can wait together.

This is not at all my thing. This is not an ideal activity to pass my time. However, knowing there is an initial effort and template that I have created, makes life a bit more bearable. Anything added to it at this point should be easier. It's always the initial step that is the hardest. Can't wait to get this submitted. The waiting to see if the application is accepted is the next hardest part. I am almost there but still need to crop my images and reread the application questions to make sure they are where I want them to be. Keep going. As an artist, this is the way. Do YOU have your artist resume completed/updated to the most recent?

I didn't know this would happen when I first looked at submitting my art to the First People's Bank in Jefferson City. It is kind of strange to think I am here at this moment, presenting a painting they commissioned. Now I have art on the walls of a bank. How does it feel? Awesome! If I really look back, the path to here is strange. I looked into doing some paintings of buildings. I had never done them before. Then it spurred my preservationpostcards.com items. Then some of those originals became "perfect" for the beginning art show for the community. Then they asked if I would do a painting. Of course! My point being, if there is an idea in your heart, and not sure where it will take you, just keep riding the wave. There is a path! (PS: the paintings in the background are not mine. Today's the day to clean your scanner glass. I use my Norwex rag combo. Basically a micro fiber with its coordinating wipe off rag. Not sure what it's called. No. I am not selling Norwex. My sister sells it and gives me a set every Christmas. They work.
