Mother’s Day and the Mother Wound
My mother didn’t have a language for what she carried. But she showed up. That’s what I’ve learned from 30 years of sitting with families: sometimes love doesn’t look like ease. Sometimes it looks like a woman doing the next right thing with the tools she had. In the Healing Circle, we make space for both — the gratitude and the grief. The love and the longing. Happy Mother’s Day to every mother who showed up — imperfectly, bravely, or both.
