Contraction and expansion
Contraction and expansion are the two functions of growth that permeate every level of the cosmic construct. At a cellular level, vibrational, and physical; it is the ebb and flow of the universe. The primordial rhythm of existence. The trick to finding balance in surrender, and learning to dance with this rhythm rather than being pummelled by it like driftwood in a rough current- is recognizing what is taking place inside the function.
Contraction; slower paced, more controlled and calculated. Peace in familiarity. The comfort of the container which we currently preside. A space we may use to catch our proverbial breath. Bracing our foothold for the coming expansion outward.
Change is the only constant, if we grow too fond of the contraction, we sink into it like a couch. Tissue and neuroplasticity begin to atrophy. The ego says, "its safe here, let's stay." This is where the alchemy begins.
You feel the shift, the flow out of the ebb. The pull into~
Expansion; sets the pace, unpredictable due to lack of familiarity. It is the hand leaving the edge of the pool forcing you to tread water. Your entropic boundaries expand, the container of familiarity has become much larger now. Your former ceiling is now your new floor. Lean into this current, do not pull away. Your resistance will become turbulence and only harm yourself.
This is the rhythm of life. Most people want to recede back to a certain level of comfort, refusing to leave at a certain elevation; though your consciousness begs you to ascend further, to surrender deeper into the current. Attempting to resist the current that consumes all only knocks the individual out of alignment with their true seat in the house of the cosmos. Trust in divinity and it will hold your sacred space. Be open to that space looking different than you imagined it, and it will certainly become greater than you ever truly could've envisioned.
