The GRIEF of Becoming What You Hated
Sometimes the hardest person to forgive is the version of ourselves that pain created. We often judge who we’ve become without first understanding what we survived to get here. Unhealed wounds have a way of shaping our responses until survival starts feeling like our identity. The good news is that recognizing those patterns is not the end of the story—it can be the beginning of healing. We don’t have to remain the person our pain taught us to become; we can become the person healing is inviting us to be.
