I’m a longtime reading teacher (3-4th) and mentor who specializes in helping 4th graders move from word callers to real thinkers—especially with complex, grade-level texts that make them shut down, guess, or become frustrated readers.
This community is for teachers, tutors, and homeschoolers who are:
- Struggling to get students to activate metacognition while reading.
- Unsure how to scaffold without giving too much support.
- Feeling defeated by low test scores
