Monday Devotional
A little encouragement from my devotional time this morning.
Today, I simply want to share from some of my own experiences, with the hope that something that has carried me might encourage you too.
When I’ve been in seasons where I needed strength—when I was working so much, exhausted, and life circumstances felt heavy I leaned on Isaiah 40:31. It reminded me that those who wait on the Lord will renew their strength.
When I’ve been confronted with temptation, when things were difficult, or even when I’ve found myself wrestling with sin and asking, “Lord, how do I get out of this? How do I overcome this?” I’ve leaned on 1
John 4:4:
“Greater is He that is in me than he that is in the world.”
When I’ve needed encouragement about what’s ahead, something to remind me to keep moving forward even when I couldn’t see what was next, I’ve leaned on Jeremiah 29:11.
And at night, when I revisit my day—or in those moments of despair when I’ve needed to remember who loves me I’ve gone back to John 3:16.
I remind myself that God loved me enough to give His Son. And I remind myself that I was created in His image.
These verses haven’t just been words I’ve read. They’ve become places I’ve returned to in different seasons of my life.
I’m sharing this from a vulnerable space today because maybe you’re in one of those seasons right now.
Maybe you need strength.
Maybe you’re fighting temptation.
Maybe you need hope for what’s ahead.
Or maybe today you simply need to be reminded that you are loved by God.
I hope one of these scriptures meets you exactly where you are today.
What scripture have you leaned on in a difficult season?
Share it below.
Someone reading the comments may need it today too
