Sunday Bible Verse
9 "In this the love of God was made manifest among us, that God sent his only Son into the world, so that we might live through him. 10 In this is love, not that we have loved God but that he loved us and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins." 1 John 4:9-10
Reflection: Have you ever noticed how inconsistent we are as people in our love? We say we love our spouse, but do we daily put their needs above our own? We say we love our friend, but did we follow-up on their prayer need? Indeed if it were dependent on our love to stay in relationship with God, we would be lost.
But God. God in his infinite mercy is the one who loves us first. It's He who pursues and draws us... It is Him who holds us fast. Rest in this dear friend! As an imperfect being, love God back with everything you have. Know that Christ is the fulfillment of the requirements needed to be in relationship with God. Trust in Christ💫
