This past Christmas I made a challenging wall hanging as a gift. It came out pretty well but it did take some time. And the bluebird quilt is the last one I made just for me.

I made this pattern, called Poppa Eli, (my hubby is called Poppa) but changed the tree from the back to under the trunk, as it was too high to hang on the wall. Also, we travel a lot in our caravan, so I make postcards of city icons for my bed cover in the caravan, the latest being Steempunk for Oamaru, it's fun sourcing all the bits for them.

Mulling through ideas of what to make I decided a pilates quilt was a good idea!!! No pattern made up from pictures found on the web, challenging. The second one is embroidery pieces completed over the years that were sitting in a draw. Out came the scrap box and the maths skills were tested once again.
