You are sitting on gold you silly goose
Growing a Classical Music Festival to 10K Followers Using Archive Footage Norfolk Chamber Music Festival had decades of performances sitting in a Google Drive. Zero online presence. I helped them reach 10K followers using content they already owned. The Situation: They had: - Years of recorded performances - World-class musicians - Rare compositions - Beautiful venue shots But no one was seeing it. The Strategy: We didn't create new content. We repurposed what existed. The Process: 1. Pulled best performances from archive 2. Cut into 30-60 second clips 3. Optimized for YouTube Shorts 4. Posted consistently for 6 months The Focus: - Lesser-known composers (niche appeal) - Exceptional performances (quality signal) - Educational context (building authority) The Results: - 10,000+ YouTube subscribers - Brought attention to underappreciated composers - Increased brand recognition - Festival attendance grew The ROI: Zero production cost. Just strategic editing of existing assets. The Insight: Most organizations sit on YEARS of valuable content. They just don't know how to repurpose it for today's platforms. The Lesson: You don't need to create more. You need to share what you have strategically. If a classical music festival can grow to 10K using archive footage, you can grow using content you've already created. What's sitting in your archive right now?
I'm a nerd 🤓
I've been playing video games since I got Putt Putt on the computer at two years old. I love Pokemon, Yu-gi-oh, Digimon, Avatar (duh), and tons of other cartoons and games. I used to spend 18 hours a day playing World of Warcraft. I read all the Harry Potter books. I like to dress up in cosplay and go to Ren Faire's and conventions (here's a photo of me dressed like a viking holding a raven at Sherwood Forest). My most anticipated game of 2026 is World of Anterra, a pixelated Skyrim-esque RPG. (I backed the Kickstarter campaign in 2020 and have been EAGERLY awaiting it's release all this time.) I like board games like Settlers of Catan. In fact, my co-founder @Rex Loyer regularly hosts board game nights for our local community members (and there will be more coming soon!) I also love learning about history and culture. Yes, I DO think about Rome at least once a week 😂 (have you SEEN the ingenuity of the Roman colosseum?! They literally built a colosseum that could be flooded with water and have boats fight each other!! How could you NOT think about that often?!) I also make weird, cute noises at my dog, and I like to go camp in the woods. Bonus points if I get to hear some wubby dubby dubstep and see lasers while I do it. (Electric Forest, I will come to you one day!) Oh, and don't even get me started on Tarot and Oracle cards. My tattoo was inspired by a hummingbird card pulled in a healing card deck. And then astrology... and personality tests... and psychology in general... Anyway... just felt inspired to share some of my nerd-ness with you all. Where my fellow nerds at?! Share your nerdy passions in the comments!
