I wanted to be an astronaut when I grew up. I had a plan to join Airforce and be a test pilot (they fly the test planes and it sounded fucking exciting as hellllll+ it was a good path to entry at the time I was told....I was 10 lol I asked a lot of Q's) On January 28, 1986 I was a 10-year-old boy super excited to go to class in Long Beach CA because we got to watch the space shuttle Challenger fly a teacher into space.
Then this event happened. That changed my whole life. I started model rocketry and got really into it, but it also reminded me how crazy that day was, so over time I stopped that too.
Edit: Removed everything else it was a temporary thing and if you saw it, you saw it. If not, it's gone. Like the Challenger, it burned up.
Sometimes words are part of a journey and you have to catch them at that moment or they burn up.
