..and now this!
With a new channel and having to learn SOOOO MUCH - of all the advice I've heard, the one that sticks with me the most is "aim at just a 1% improvement each time to create content."
So with that in mind and stepping into the territory of Shorts for the first time, I asked VidIQ to assess my channel and then trending videos on my niche from other sources to come up with some ideas for Shorts. It came up with a demographic in my target audience I hadn't thought of before!
💞My niche is relationships - specifically marriage.
👰♀️Then niching down further - married christian women (because that's been me for 35 years - so - that's my own frame of lived experience etc).
🙇♀️Then niching down once more - married christian women who are going through a significant challenge in their marriage - (again - my own lived experience from my husband's ex-military career that culminated in him having a massive breakdown, PTSD diagnosis, and discharge from Army on medical grounds) to position myself (and my Skool Community) as a Marriage Mentor & Coach.
The "one problem" focus? Navigating hard conversations without imploding.
VidIQ pitched me some ideas for some Shorts that showed me a potential gap I can fill.
The "newlyweds" - home from the honeymoon, gifts put away, wedding dress carefully stored - then the first fight happens 🤯 Of course they "know" conflict is a normal part of married life - but knowing - and then it happening - can be a whole different story.
