Six years post-divorce, I finally released my married surname and chose my own.

Phoenix carries part of my name by birth (maiden name βnixβ) and everything that comes with it (fire, rebirth, and hope).
It feels right.
Not because Iβm ashamed of my past (quite the opposite, actually).
Just a name that truly reflects the woman I am.
