Day 2- Deuteronomy 31:6. Commit every day.
For the better part of 2 years I have been on an emotional rollercoaster all centered on what is happening workwise. It is hard to sleep, the anxiety, the depression, the never ending raceless mind that makes me a zombie around my family. My wife and oldest child try to talk to me and I don't even hear it. Enough is enough. I am ashamed of myself. This has been and continues to be rock bottom. Family and friends know bits and pieces of this, but my wife is really the only one who knows how bad its been and she is at her breaking point. Writing this down and going through these readings is medicine for me... accountability for me. As tears roll down my face all I can think about is my daughter who is 3 sharing this verse with me after I had a horrible day about a year ago. She goes to a Christ centered day care and learns songs and verses like this. Seeing I was upset and without prompting she said "daddy be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid, for the LORD your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you Deuteronomy 31:6. A year ago I promised her I was okay... that all is okay. Its time to be the man God called me to be, the husband my wife deserves and the father my children deserve.
