Hey everyone, Justin here.
In God Is Personal, we talk a lot about the difference between religious performance and actual relationship. One of the hardest lessons I had to learn—especially coming out of the military and spending years chasing validation—was that God isn’t impressed by our "metrics." He doesn't want our religious resume; He just wants our presence.
But let’s be honest: in a crowded, noisy, hyper-polarized world, giving God our presence is incredibly difficult. It requires intentionality. It requires us to stop doing things for Him long enough to actually sit with Him.
So, I want to hear from you today. We are building this community to help each other move past empty religion, and that starts with honesty about our daily habits.
Drop a comment below and answer this one question:
What is ONE specific, practical thing you are doing this week to quiet the noise and cultivate a personal relationship with the Father?
• Is it 10 minutes of silence in the car before you walk into the house?
• Is it reading a chapter of the workbook instead of scrolling the news first thing in the morning?
• Is it having a hard but honest conversation with God about where you feel burned out?
There are no wrong answers and no "perfect Christian" metrics here. Share what you are doing—or what you are struggling to do—so we can encourage each other.
Can't wait to read these. I’ll be in the comments responding!
