R3: (sc, inc) x 6 (18)
R4: *in FLO, sc 2.* Using both FL and BL, sc, (sc 2, inc) x 5 (24)
R5: *(3 sc in next st)* x 2, sc 22 (28)
R6: *inc, sc, inc x 2, sc, inc,* sc 22 (32)
R7-R8: *sc 10*, sc 22 (32) fasten off original color
R9: *sc 10, in BLO, sc, picot, sc 3, picot, sc 3, picot, sc 9, picot, sc 3, picot, sc 3, picot* (32)
Add safety eyes
R10: *(sc2tog, sc 2)* x 8 (24)
R11: *(sc, sc2tog)* x 8 (16)
R12: *sc2tog x 4, stuff firmly, sc2tog x 4* (8)
Fasten off, leaving a long tail. Close last round with tail & use tail to embroider outline of wings and carapace. Add antennae and other details if desired.
