Live Class: Crochet on the round
April 22, 2026 at 7PM-8PM Central Time
Subject: Learn the process of crocheting on the round, a necessary skill for making stuffed toys (amigurumi) and other 3D shapes.
Supplies needed:
- Crochet hook & Yarn in the size/weight of your preference.
"Just practicing" - if you just want to practice the methods without making a project, any hook and yarn will do.
Hat: If you would like to make a bucket hat or beanie, use the yarn of your choice and refer to the label for the recommended hook size.
Amigurumi: If you want to make a stuffed toy, you will need a hook that is much smaller than the recommended size. For medium weight (4) yarn, I recommend 4mm or smaller (I use 3.5 and others prefer to go even smaller.) For super bulky (6) yarn, I recommend a 6 mm or smaller.
- Scissors
- Yarn/Darning/Tapestry needle
Additional supplies:
For hats: ruler/tape measure
For Amigurumi: stuffing material, safety eyes.
Skills needed:
- Basic crochet skills (Slipknot, chains, single crochet stitch, etc.)
