Jealousy Is an Ugly Thing - Devotional
Jealousy doesn’t just destroy relationships.
It corrodes the soul that carries it.
The Bible says:
“For where you have envy and selfish ambition, there you find disorder and every evil practice.”
(James 3:16 NIV)
Jealousy is a silent poison.
It blinds you to your own blessings, keeps you comparing, and steals your peace.
It whispers that someone else’s win means your loss but that’s a lie from the enemy.
When you let jealousy live in your heart, it breeds bitterness, resentment, and insecurity.
But when you let gratitude take its place, joy begins to overflow.
Choose to celebrate others.
Choose to believe that what God did for them, He can do for you too and more.
Because the same God who blesses them has not forgotten about you.
“A heart at peace gives life to the body, but envy rots the bones.”
(Proverbs 14:30 NIV)
Don’t let envy rot what God wants to grow.
Let peace rule your heart again.
✨ Ask God to cleanse every trace of jealousy and replace it with thankfulness, contentment, and love.
