Number 1, how much should I keep in my checking account for monthly bills — the right number, not just three months of expenses. Number 2, the exact split between a high-yield savings account, treasury bills, and a money market fund based on how soon I might need the money. Number 3, three specific high-yield savings accounts paying 4% or more right now, with the current rates and which is easiest to open this week. Number 4, how a treasury bill ladder works in plain English and the exact steps to build one at TreasuryDirect or Fidelity. Number 5, the total dollar amount of interest I'm leaving on the table every month by not doing this. Give me a 7-day action plan."
