Resetting my nervous system and becoming a confident leader
Hi zoe, afer my little collision with Zeus I realize my nervous system when Ian around him is all over the place and as a result he also tenses up.this morning as I was leading him to the open pasture for weekend break he acted up again. As me approach the gates I feel myself tensing up because I am not sure now he will react
And then as we walk through the posts or gate ne starts reacting. This morning he was trying to nip me again, bracing and jumping around as if he is trying to get away from me or he can just be very excited to get out In the open again
Whatever it is, i do realise horses mirror your energy so i think i have to use this as feedback and try and improve myself before i can do anything for him
So my question is, how do reset my nervous system so that i can become the calm confident leader he needs me to be and then what can i do for him to create more awareness and calm in his own body and mind
I am sure i am not the first or last person that is going through such an experience and i do believe its these type of experience that help as grow and evolve into the strong and assertive horsewomen/we men we aspire
to become
Looking forward to hearing your thoughts on this
