I’m Chef Spence, a Certified Culinary Professional and private chef. Much of my background has been serving clients and elderly communities living with conditions such as type 2 diabetes, GERD, acid reflux, high blood pressure, dementia, Parkinson’s, Alzheimer’s disease, and cancer recovery.
Through this experience I’ve learned that food should be both nourishing and flavorful. The meals you see here reflect my approach: balanced dishes built with vegetables, whole foods, plant-based ingredients, seafood, and lean proteins like chicken and turkey.
Inside the Gentle Plates Kitchen community, members learn practical cooking skills, balanced meal building, and receive access to my Gentle Plates digital cookbooks along with ongoing guidance and support.
