Which camp? Prince or Michael Jackson?
I'm torn. Someone asked me which I liked better - Prince or Michael Jackson. Dude, I can't decide. Chime in. Which is your favorite?
Welcome!
If you grew up on MTV when it actually played music, rewinding VHS tapes, arcade games, mixtapes, mall food courts, and questionable fashion choices powered by Aqua Net — you’re in the right place. Gen X Connects is a space built on 80s music, movies, games, fashion, food, and the shared experiences that shaped us. This isn’t about self-improvement, hustle culture, or keeping up with trends. It’s about connection, nostalgia, humor, and remembering what made that era unforgettable. Post what you loved. Share what you forgot you loved. Laugh at what absolutely did not age well. There’s no right way to participate — jump into conversations, comment when something sparks a memory, or just enjoy the throwbacks. The goal is simple: real connection with people who get it. To kick things off, drop a comment and tell us:🎸 Your favorite 80s band or song🎬 A movie you can still quote🕹️ A game, toy, or trend you were obsessed with Glad you’re here. Let’s rewind. 📼

Gen X Connects – Community Guidelines 🎸📼 Welcome in. Let’s keep this space fun, respectful, and very us. 1. Be Cool. Seriously. We’re here to connect, laugh, and reminisce — not argue, lecture, or relive comment-section wars. Respect different opinions, memories, and tastes. You don’t have to agree with everyone to be kind. 2. No Politics. No Drama. This is an escape space. Leave politics, rage posts, and hot-button debates at the door. We lived through enough chaos already — this is about fun and connection. 3. Keep It Inclusive. Gen X comes in many flavors. No hate, discrimination, or exclusion of any kind. If it wouldn’t fly at a concert, arcade, or late-night diner hang, it doesn’t belong here. 4. Share the Nostalgia — Not the Spam. 80s music, movies, games, toys, fashion, food, memories? YES. Sales pitches, promos, MLMs, or self-promotion? HARD NO. 5. Laugh With, Not At. Sarcasm is part of our DNA — cruelty is not. Humor is welcome. Mean-spirited posts are not. If it punches down, rethink it. 6. Keep It Real (and Mostly PG-13). Swearing happens. We’re Gen X. That said, no explicit, graphic, or NSFW content. If you wouldn’t want it playing on MTV at 3pm in 1987, don’t post it. 7. Participate Your Way. Post a lot. Lurk quietly. Jump in when something sparks a memory. There’s no pressure here — just good vibes and shared experiences. 8. Respect Privacy. What’s shared here stays here. Don’t screenshot or repost someone else’s stories outside the group without permission.
