📣 Welcome to Twigs & Tides Collective
📣 Welcome to Twigs & Tides Collective Welcome to the Collective — a modern naturalist club for curious minds. This is a place for people who enjoy learning about the living world. Some members already spend time noticing birds, plants, and seasonal changes. Others are just beginning to look a little closer. Both belong here. The idea is simple: Observe. Ask questions. Explore the science behind what we see. You might share a photo from a walk, ask about a strange insect, talk about mushrooms after rain, or start a conversation about tides, weather, or ecosystems. No expertise required — curiosity is the only requirement. 🌿 A quick note about points: Skool automatically awards points when members participate — posting observations, asking questions, commenting, or reacting to discussions. They’re simply a small way to recognize engagement as the community grows. If you're new, start by introducing yourself or sharing something you've noticed in nature recently. Pull up a seat around the campfire — we're glad you're here.
NEWS
Hi everyone! This group will be undergoing some major construction over the next little while as I rethink the direction of the space. The theme will be shifting a bit, and the group will gradually evolve into more of a nature-focused club where people can share observations, interesting things they notice outdoors, and the occasional explanation of the science behind those phenomena. Think of it less like a class and more like a place to notice the natural world together — sharing photos, asking “what is this?”, and talking about the strange and beautiful things happening outside as the seasons change. Everyone is absolutely welcome to stay and see how it develops. But if the new direction isn’t your cup of tea, no worries at all — I completely understand. Thanks for being part of the group so far, and stay tuned while things get rebuilt!

Women & Girls in Science Day 🧬 Tomorrow is National Women & Girls in Science Day — let’s celebrate. Science isn’t just history — it’s happening right now. From imaging black holes to editing genes to mapping our universe, women are doing the work, leading the teams, and changing what we know. Not someday. Not “inspiring.” Right now.
