Turning up to our first coffee meet in January, I never expected Gathr to have such an impact. We went from feeling out of place to realising we've built a genuine life and home here, full of treasured friends and memories. Beyond that, people go out of their way to help; whatever you're facing, someone has been through it and offers advice or an understanding ear. Life here would be very different without it. A brilliant community; I couldn't recommend joining highly enough!

GATHR was a wonderful springboard for me for my life in Spain. By connecting with members before I even arrived I had good friends waiting for me when I landed. They continue to be very close friends and I have made so many others. It’s a real community and even an extended family. As well as having made wonderful friends and being active with them I have also learned so very much about the moving process and life in Spain from the group.

This group has been absolutely amazing. After our first year in Malaga my wife and I were somewhat disappointed that we had not been able to make more friends, but the GATHR grouped changed that drastically. Not only have we been able to meet an amazing diverse group of people, but we have made strong lasting friendships with more people than we could have imagined! The various events and opportunities to get together offer something for everyone and are always so much fun!

I am so grateful I stumbled upon gather a few months before moving to Torremolinos. Landing here knowing just a couple of familiar faces was so important. The local group here around Malaga is fun and friendly and there is always something of interest to do nearly every week. Additionally the Spanish classes that are avaiable through premium membership are greatly helping to improve my Spanish! So grateful to be a part of GATHR!

GATHR has genuinely surprised me in the best possible way. What started as a way to meet new people has turned into a real community: warm, welcoming, funny and full of people who actually make an effort to connect. I’ve met some wonderful people through it, had far too many laughs, discovered new places and, most importantly, built friendships that now extend well beyond the events themselves. It feels less like joining a group and more like finding your people. 💜🦄
