This is the time of the year when you have so much of an abundance that you have to start getting creative! These little Candyland tomatoes are so small. I figured I could put them in scrambled eggs. Two eggs, feta cheese, sun-dried tomatoes, salt, pepper, onion & garlic powder. They are quite tasty.

Now that we’re able to start harvesting, what are some of your favorite recipes? I like to make cucumber pea salad. Fresh cucumbers, peas, and bunching onions. Mix with Mayo, pepper, salt, onion powder, and put it in the fridge to chill. After I’ve been in the garden it’s the most refreshing thing!

These are the kind of things that gardeners must face. In our new place we plan on building a totally enclosed garden that will hold the trees and all of the food plants we will have. But for now we have moments like these.

Harvesting the very first vegetables from the garden today. And it looks like we will have peaches very soon. Who else has been harvesting?
