Last night, the Last to Stop Studying Challenge FINALLY ended.
On January 2, over 60 students began a challenge to see who would be the LAST person to stop doing SAT questions every day.
I thought the challenge would only last a few weeks.
Instead, it lasted almost 2 months (lol).
The winners are:
With them being the only three people left, they opted to split the $500 prize between themselves and all become the 1st place winners.
They are each going to get:
Below, I am going to post a final rankings list of everyone in the challenge.
Just to shoutout the three winners real quick:
Geetesh is an absolute legend who has been in this community for a while. I didn't realize it at first, but I even did a call with him a few months ago. Gotta admit, he was such a great member of the challenge, because he was constantly giving me new ideas and ways to improve the process (some of which I accepted). Also has an amazing profile pic (both here and on Aniko). Finished the challenge doing an unbelievable 2,367 questions on the final day (67 reference)! I also still have no idea what the "laps" thing you did was (even after you explained it lowkey), but I think people liked it a lot so it was cool!
Sri shares some things with Geetesh -- the cars in the profile pics, the energy, having a name I still don't know how to pronounce (lol) -- but I gotta be real, Sri just brought an energy to this challenge that was unmatched. I could tell throughout the whole thing Sri was an unbelievably disciplined competitor who was PROBABLY going to win lowkey. Thank you so much for competing. Sri did 2,250 questions (crazy) on the last day.
Finally, Kenneth. I gotta be honest -- I do not know much about Kenneth except that he is a GRINDER. I am pretty sure Kenneth did literally more questions than ANYONE else in the challenge, so if going off of that, Kenneth is kinda the pseudo-winner (not actually, just in terms of problems). You played this game harder than anyone, and your dedication is absolutely UNMATCHED. 2,313 questions on the final day.
I will send all the money and prizes to you all within the next hour. Sorry for the wait -- didn't have much time this morning.
I am going to work on a YouTube video for the challenge where I go over the whole thing. Might not be able to finish it until after the March SAT, but it's gonna be wild.
Is everyone okay with me using their first names and profile pics in the video? If not, please leave a comment below or DM me so I know not to.
One more thing (the most important):
I know for many of you this challenge was just a fun, chill thing to do (okay maybe not chill, but still).
But I hope some of you see the deeper message from it, too.
The final people in the challenge literally studied EVERY DAY over 2 months, without a single break.
And on the final day, 4 people did over 2,000 problems EACH.
Everyone thinks they have limits.
They might say, "I couldn't POSSIBLY study every day."
Or
"I couldn't POSSIBLY do 30+ problems in a single day."
But the truth is -- your actual limit is probably FAR beyond what you think.
It's like this scene from the movie Facing the Giants where the coach gets the football player to do way more than he thought possible. Doing something like 2,000 problems per day would sound impossible if I just TOLD you to do it, but nevertheless, 4 students just did.
They even inspired me, honestly. Any time I think I can't do something, I'll be remembering what they did.
So keep going, keep grinding.
Hope to do another challenge at some point after the March SAT (probably not immediately after but at some time after). Get ready.
