Liberty announced a partnership with Delta
Liberty University partners with Delta to propel students into pilot careers | Liberty News Delta Air Lines recently partnered with Liberty University to create a direct pathway for students into pilot careers, and at first glance it sounds like a dream—college, flight training, and a potential fast track to the airlines. But as a parent, it’s important to understand the full picture. Programs like this can be incredibly valuable, but they also come with high costs, structured timelines, and require a level of commitment that not every teen is ready for yet. The truth is, this is not the only way to become a pilot. Before jumping into a major program, it’s often smarter to start small—let your child take a discovery flight, see if they truly enjoy the training process, and begin with basic ground school to build real interest. Flying is an amazing path, but the best decisions come from experience, not assumptions. As parents, our job isn’t to rush them into the biggest opportunity, but to guide them step by step so they can make the right choice for their future.
