Most filmmakers stall because they don’t know their starting point. No clarity = no progress. You are here to move one step forward: Idea → Clear Concept → Pitch Deck → Funding Path Everything begins with clarity of idea. Step #1 Identify Your Stage (30 seconds) Comment with one number: 1 — ExplorerI’m interested in writing / filmmaking but don’t have a clear project. 2 — WriterI’ve been writing or developing ideas, but nothing is structured or pitch-ready. 3 — BuilderI have a project (script or concept) and want to package it properly. Step #2 Introduce yourself - Tell us a bit about yourself and your storytelling goals. Step #3 What story are you working on? Pilot, short, feature? Step #4 Write your logline. No matter your stage, do this now. Use this structure: A [protagonist] must [goal] or risk [stakes], while facing [central conflict]. Example: A foster child must learn to trust a grieving family or risk losing the only home she’s ever felt safe in, as the trauma of her past resurfaces. RULES: No vague language: - “goes on a journey” - “discovers themselves” - “learns about life” If it’s unclear, it won’t move. POST BELOW Comment: 1. Your stage (1, 2, or 3) 2. Your logline Stay faithful. Stay soaring. Elliot
