Not many people know the origin of the word Jubilee. It is an historical and biblical term that refers to the periodic forgiveness of all debts. According to Leviticus, every 50 years, all debts were forgiven, all slaves were freed and lands were returned to their peoples. In medieval times, it was practiced at the inauguration of a new King. This captures the meaning of my intent in creating this community, I want you to be emancipated through what you learn here.
