Growing up I only at my eggs scrambled, HARD. No liquid! Dry as the Las Vegas desert. Occasionally, I would add a slice or a little shredded cheddar cheese.
Fast forward to grown-up family life, my then husband loved his eggs over easy. YUCK! 🤮 So, when I would make breakfast I would scramble eggs for me and the kids and make over easy for him.
One day after having some of Popeyes magic spinach 😏😊I was going through my usual routine. Something was different. Those over easy eggs where calling to me, "try me, try me!" I did my best to egg-nore (pun intended) the whispers but then it turned into a scream, "TRY ME! TRY ME!"
As much as I didn't want to, I knew the only way I could silence the voices was to "eat the cake". As I was eating my food I leaned over and place my fork in his plate 🍽 grabbing a little bit of the eggs with some grits. All of a sudden, Angels started to sing 🎶 as a beam of lot hit my face. A euphoric moment was taking place. ✨️🎆🪄After that, even our kids wanted to try it.
Now, I seldomly eat scrambled eggs. The moral of this story, (as long as you aren't allergic) eat the cake Anna Mae! You just might like it.
Life changing experience.
