Reminiscing over Food
Maybe I'm dating myself but do you remember when all of the franchise restaurants would serve mozzarella sticks and potato skins on their appetizer menu? 🤔. Doesn't seem to be as trendy anymore. Now, I'm seeing cheese curds and seasoned tater tots. Same but completely different. 🤦🏾‍♀️😅 What new food trends have you noticed in the restaurant industry?

Let's Celebrate: National Food Day
Monday, December 8th is National Brownie Day Brownie History and Origin: Bertha Palmer, a prominent socialite and wife of the Palmer House Hotel owner, asked the hotel's pastry chef to create a portable, cake-like dessert that could fit in boxed lunches for the ladies attending the exposition. The first brownie was created by a chef in Chicago in the late 1800s. The "Palmer House Brownie," a chocolate square topped with walnuts and an apricot glaze. This original recipe is still served at the hotel today. The first cookbook recipe for brownies was published in 1904. One of my favorite brownies is called a Mississippi Mud Brownie. A combination of white and dark chocolate. 🍫 😋 What's your favorite brownie? Will you be celebrating this Foodie Day?

Let's Celebrate: National Food Day🥳
December 4th is National Cookie Day. Cookie Monster proposed the concept first on Sesame Street in 1976 on November 26th. The holiday official establishment was in 1987. Matt Nader, founder of the Blue Chip Cookie Company, established December 4th as the official date. What's your favorite cookie? I can remember going to Mrs. Fields in Bayfair Mall in the food court. Begging my mom to buy me some Macadamia White Chocolate Chip Cookies 🍪 😋 They don't taste the same but the memories are priceless. Help celebrate by sharing a cookie memory or favorite recipe with the group.
