Math Lab: Art & Exploration
Math is not just worksheets. This is where we explore patterns, fractals, Desmos creations, puzzles, weird symmetry, and “wait… why does that work?” moments. This 'room' is also the home of the Flippin' Collective, When math-minded artists want to gather, this is where we meet. If you're a creator or math explorer, introduce yourself! Post something beautiful. Something strange. Share something that made you pause.

Flippin' Muuuuugs!
When I love something, I get a mug to symbolize it. My favorite band? I have a mug with their faces on it (John Linnell and John Flansburg. iykyk) And for Christmas this year? Santa brought identical mugs to me and a bestie, so we can both have matching cups of joe now that they live far away. And now? An invitation. Come one, come all, let's make mathy art. I'll start. (That's lies, I don't make a lot of visual art, but) I licensed a few images and created some mugs to start "The Collection". Be on the lookout. Soon, I'll have a submission form so you can "show your work!" :P I look forward to seeing it, and quarterly, we'll celebrate our favorites and possibly add to the collection. For now? I'm super excited about beginning my flippin' mug collection with this one. Ladies and gents, i introduce: The Sierpinski.

Calling all artists!
We art people, the aesthetic-minded, we see the world in unique and wonderful ways. Personally, I’m more of a musician. (I’m currently working on transcribing skip count songs from my youth.) Tell us about how math shows up in your art!
