Hello everyone, Since this forum is about fitness for Musicians, I would like to kick off the weekend and share some thoughts about my on-going training and how that affects my playing.
Since 28 August, I have lost 15 kg due to a decision of a life change. As for today, I'm no longer a 3-digit sized trumpeter :D
However, since then, my upper register and air has been trolling big time. I do not feel that I have the same support anymore and some of my habits have to change due to the absence of the huge belly and so on. I do not look upon this as any negative, but it still raises a lot of questions on the best way ahead.
Have others done something similar? Have the loss of weight challenged your ability to play as before and did you at some point have to change anything?
