Light in the shadows
Sometimes my mind feels heavy,
A storm that won’t let go.
I stumble through the darkness,
Where no one seems to know.
Addiction whispers always
A voice I try to fight.
It tells me I am broken,
But I won’t give up the fight.
Angels walk beside me,
In faces, words, and care.
A hand to hold, a shoulder,
A heart that’s always there.
I breathe, I pause, I notice,
The little sparks of light.
Hope is not a thunder,
It’s a whisper in the night.
So if you feel the struggle,
Or shadows press you down,
Remember you are worthy,
And love can still be found.
