We compare ourselves to others and decide that we are not good enough before we have even given ourselves a real chance to succeed. My background is in many different art disciplines and they all have come together in the way I create my mosaic artwork. I’m living proof that we can all create art and sometimes even surprise ourselves.

Is this a skill you truly wish to improve? I have not seen any participation. I won’t waste your time if that’s the case. This is my latest mosaic project and I started in 2024 from other art disciplines. What do you want to learn about art? Color theory? Perspective? Proportion? Shading?

One option is to write your name on a piece of paper and create an abstract drawing from that or just starting to make patterns and lines and filling in the spaces can create something pretty interesting. I will post an example tomorrow. Have a good evening everyone! Also looking at an object and seeing what shapes it has like triangles for cat’s ears and almond shaped eyes, circles coming out from the nose which can be an upside down triangle. This will hopefully inspire you to try and draw something.
