this is what it looks like when orientation shifts
This video is about what happens when your usual tools stop working and you don’t panic. Because I wasn’t slipping backward. I knew that. But something shifted. My thoughts were coming too fast. My body didn’t want stillness. My body didn’t want movement. Breathing didn’t help. Stretching didn’t help. Normally I can find the pause. Normally I can find the better thought. Normally I can re-orient quickly. This time I couldn’t. So I did what I always do when something doesn’t work. I tried something else. Then something else. Then something else. Because when you’re moving forward, you stop looking for proof something’s wrong and you start looking for the solution that fits where you are now. And the moment I said to myself: we need to find the solution and stop focusing on the problem my phone rang. It was a call about seeing my grandson. And just wanting that so much brought me back into the present moment. Not fixed. Not solved. But here. And being here let me see what I actually needed next. I needed to talk. Not think harder. Not regulate better. Not pause longer. Speak. So I hit record. That recording wasn’t planned. It wasn’t polished. It was movement. It was me finding a new release because my life is stepping into a place I’ve never been before. Sometimes the moment your usual tools stop working isn’t failure. It’s expansion. It’s the signal you’re learning something new about how you move forward.
