When it comes to your finances, motivation can really matter. But where does motivation come from? I always ask my financial clients the same question when we first meet. "What is your biggest goal with your money?" Once this goal is established, we dig deeper into the "Why" behind the goal. Example for me is my goal to retire by 50. Why do I want to do this? I want to spend time with my wife, kids, and grandkids. How does this help me with my finances? It reminds me of WHY I'm still working, WHY I'm still putting 25% of my $ into investments, and WHY I still budget tightly... Knowing your WHY can help you stay on track and really focus on your goals! So... What's your Why?
