Key basic Financial info to get you started. Finances often feels foriegn or overwhelming to people, and unfortunately some financial professionals actively reinforce that feeling. That's not what I'm about. I feel if everyone had access to good financial education without feeling pressured to buy a book or a course etc, the 🌎 would be a better place. So that is why I created my Financial Self Defense program years ago. I am moving and expanding it on the skool platform, so lots more coming!

Course was created because I have repeatedly be told by family, friends, and clients they were often not comfortable asking financial questions when guys were around. Topics were chosen to answer the top questions/areas of concern I have been repeatedly asked about by women of all ages since 2012. Event is FREE, No Obligation, No sales pitch! Webinar designed with the feedback of many young adults to give overview of financial topics they want to know about as they get going in the world. Topics include 4 Fundamentals of Financial Success, Debt Do's, Don't and Definitions, How the Canadian Tax System works, Savings/Investing strategies and how to optimize regarding taxes for now AND later. I also call this the Basics of Financial-eze, it is often and entirely different language.

This is where you will find all the details about the Programs in place for those with extra challenges. I personally hate the word Disability. However it is how the programs are all currently named. Everything Starts with the Disability Tax Credit (DTC) and goes from there. The DTC and it's savings program (RDSP) are what got me into financial services as I have a close family member who wasn't told about it!

This amazing program to help persons with extra physical or mental challenges. It gives the qualified beneficiary up to $90,000 to help towards extra costs they may face. The gov. will even go back and re-calculate amount entitled to, up to 10 years back! There is even a large amount that the person can get without depositing a penny of their own money. This program is what got me involved in financial services as I have a niece who was never told about it! GRRRR Auntie was NOT happy!

It's an uncomfortable conversation but there are ways to save on Life, Critical Illness or Disability Insurance (no one plans on having an accident: go fund me shouldn't have to exist) or credit insurance like Mortgage coverage. There is another dialect of Financial-ese! It is so FRUSTRATING that some EXACT words can mean different things in Investing as they do in Insurance. I lay out key info and questions you should know to ask, in order to protect your family, wallet, and piece of mind!

This is a Free, Online event that I host every two weeks, because frankly I HATE budgeting. So if I have it scheduled and someone else is doing the same I am far more likely to do it. (Like a gym workout buddy) People come and go as they need/want. We all work on our own budgets but I also have a running video of tips and hints in the background. This is very informal and as fun as Budgeting (ICK!!) can be for us. Only requirement is respect for each other, as always in any event I host.
