Short about feminism is a social and political movement (and way of thinking) that seeks gender equality. Its core idea is that women and men should have the same rights, opportunities, and value in society. Feminism highlights how women have historically—and often still—experienced inequality compared to men, for example, in: - education - the workplace and wages - political representation - bodily autonomy and reproductive rights The goal of feminism is not to place women above men, but to ensure fair and equal treatment for everyone, regardless of gender. There are different branches of feminism, such as liberal feminism, socialist feminism, and intersectional feminism, but all share the fundamental aim of equality.
