In fiscal year 2024, the federal government obligated about $755 billion through contracts. Even better, small businesses received over $183 billion in federal prime contracts — about 28.8% of all federal contracting dollars.
That means the government is not only buying from giant corporations. It is also buying from small businesses, service providers, consultants, and everyday entrepreneurs.
They buy almost everything:
